Day 2

So today had some highs and lows when it came to my "training plan." The day started off good, had yogurt and granola for breakfast plus a cereal bar. Went to class where my asian lover brought me a clementine, which was quite delicious and turned out to be a good, healthy midmorning snack.

For lunch I ended up just grabbing a protein bar because I only had an hour between when class got out until the kickboxing class a bunch of my classmates go to every Monday and Wednesday. If you've never had a Balance Bar, specifically the cookie dough flavor, you're missing out. I swear by these things... they are delicious, and can serve as a meal replacement (breakfast or lunch). Theyre about 220 calories, high in protein, relatively low in fat and sugars and fill me up for awhile.

Kickboxing class kicked my butt. The AbsoGlutely class that followed that also kicked my butt... literally. My buns are feeling it already. Speaking of glutes, on Friday in our massage therapy class we are giving lower extremity massages... aka BUTT MASSAGE! ahhhh. Our professor specifically told us to wear loose fitting shorts and a thong, as we will be working on bare skin. This should be fun... wish I could drop 10 pounds by Friday. My asian lover asked to be my partner so hope he isn't too grossed out by my pale cottage cheese butt.

In terms of eating, the rest of the afternoon went smoothly. For dinner I had a piece of grilled chicken and some steamed sugar snap peas. As well as one yummy slice of italian bread my madre got me from Whole Foods. This was at 6pm. So of course by 9 pm, I'm craving something sweet. So grabbed an iced coffee. I did use sugar free caramel and skim milk to try and cut back on some extra cals. There are some things that I can give up during a diet... (I mean I've been avoiding the funfetti cake in the kitched my roommate made) But I just can't avoid my daily coffee splurge.

After dinner I went over to a friends house to study and do homework. He ended up making mac n cheese at about 10 oclock...And you guys know how I feel about macaroni and cheese so ofcourse I couldn't say no. I did however make sure it was a small helping. A.k.a we split the box...oops!

Overall, today I could have made some better food choices (i.e. iced coffee or dinner #2 of mac n cheese) but I mean a girls gotta indulge at some point right?? I've been using http://www.self.com/ to log my exercise and food intake. It helps me keep track of my calories going in and out. It's free to register if anyones interested. Also, http://www.mypyramid.gov/ has some cool things to look at too. You can use the My Pyramid track and planner to analyze your diet. My personal favorite is the "Myfoodapedia" which gives you the calories for just about anything and also gives you the option to compare foods and their content.

Todays stats include:
Weight: 151 (down from yesterday but this is prob just because I weighed myself first thing in the am)
Total cal intake: about 1600 kcal
Cals burned: 600kcal
Resting metabolic rate: about 1400 Kcal
(You can calculate youre RMR easily at www.shapeup.org/interactive/rmr1.php)

If my calculations are correct (they probably aren't) I should have a calorie deficit... Which, if I maintain this overtime should result in weight loss.

Tomorrow's goals= stay awake in class, don't eat two dinners, and say no to the drinks and food at Jersey Shore!

Hope ya'll aren't getting sick of my boring, ridiculous days yet... I have 52 more to go!
Peace & Love with a cottage cheese tush,
Kristi
