So I'm sitting here writing this post as I finish eating my salad and tuna sandwich. This is by far the healthiest thing I've eaten since the weekend.
After this weekend I have come to the conclusion that it is almost entirely impossible to stick to your diet on the weekend.
Not only did I indulge in german chocolate cake, frozen yogurt, queso dip, and french fries, but I also consumed a few too many adult beverages on Saturday night. After I consumed 4 glasses of wine on Saturday night, I proceeded to dance off these calories at the bar. I thought I was gonna break even here because I was pretty much drenched in sweat by the time we left the bar at 2 am. However, once we got back to the house my drunk munchies got the better of me. I managed to eat a bowl of easy mac and the icing off the cake my roommate made last week.
Since this night out I have come to a few conclusions:
1) In order to stick to my diet on the weekends I either have to give up drinking or eating junk food.
2) I don't think I can give up either.
3) My new strategy for weekend eating is going to be skipping dinner so I can drink my calories instead.
Also, this weekend my only source of exercise was dancing on Saturday night and playing in our co-ed softball league last night. I opted out of riding the mechanical bull on Saturday night so I missed out on some critical exercise there.
So after a failure of a weekend, I reluctantly placed myself on the scale this morning.
It read 151 lbs.
Somehow managed to keep that pound off after this weekend.
This week is back to the grind. Hitting the gym and back to making healthy choices... until Kala gets here Friday that is!
Oh, I also did not log any of my calories that I consumed this weekend on my Self food diary, whoops! It was the weekend so I'm gonna say they didn't count...
Oh well, better luck this week!
Peace & Love,
Kristi
Keep up the blogs. I worked out this morning, and had yogurt for breakfast and a sandwhich for lunch. Oh and a skinny latte form the work coffee machine. Miss you mucho.
