So this post is gonna be a short one! I played tennis with some classmates and swam for 30 minutes today so I'm pretty exhausted tonight. However, I was thinking ahead and realized I probably won't have time to post tomorrow so needed to get one in tonight. I know how much you guys are starting to look forward to these haha!
To make a long story short, I ate a series of bad things today.
Exhibit A: breakfast consisted of an everything bagel with cream cheese. I'm blaming my mom for this one because she got me the bagels and I just couldn't let them sit in my fridge today. The breakfast was only about 400 calories which isn't terrible. But in comparison I probably could have eaten yogurt w/ granola, a banana, and 2 scrambled eggs for the same amount of calories. I'll learn sometime.
Exhibit B: There was a Health Sciences cook out today on our lunch break with free food. Well let's be serious how could I say no to free food?! My poor choices here consisted of potato salad, creamy vegetable lasagna, and a cookie. This time I really did get small portions though! For real, I only used one plate and did not go back for seconds!
The rest of the day I made better choices. Dinner consisted of grilled chicken and snap pea left overs from the night before and a spinach salad. But then I encountered another setback around 9:30. This leads us to...
Exhibit C: My friend Sarah picked me up to go watch Jersey Shore at the "PT Pimp Pad" (It's just an apartment where 4 guys in our class live but they enjoy the name). As soon as I get in the car she says, "So I want ice cream, think I'm gonna run through McDonalds. Do you want anything?" My first response was "No thanks, but I'll go with." 5 minutes later we're in the drive thru line...
Sarah: " Kristi, you sure you don't want anything."
Me: "No, well... Actually I'll take a hot fudge sundae."
Sarah: "Okay."
Me: "Wait, I take that back. I already had a cookie today."
Sarah: "Okay... you sure?"
Me: "Well, just make that a hotfudge sundae without the hot fudge."
Sarah: "So you just want a cup of vanilla ice cream."
Me: "Hmmm yeah."
....Well it was less calories than a hot fudge sundae at least?! I'm making baby steps here.

Total cals: 1650
Total burned: 600 + RMR (1400kcal)= 2,000
Hopefully this calorie deficit is accurate. I'm hoping I magically wake up tomorrow a few pounds lighter... I'm also hoping that last ice cream didn't go straight to my ass. I will be massaging buttocks in less than 12 hours now... wish me luck!
